Jill Galanter

Jill graduated from Duke University in 1995 with a Master of Science degree and certificate in Physical Therapy. She has been with the Elks Hearing & Balance Center since 2005. Prior to working at the Elks, Jill worked for 10 years as a physical therapist at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center in acute care, outpatient orthopedics and home health. Jill enjoys working with balance and vestibular patients and has received a certification of competency in both Vestibular Rehabilitative and Cervicogenic Dizziness. Jill received her post professional doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Montana in May 2010.


Dayna Huntwork

Dayna earned a Master of Physical Therapy degree from Idaho State University in 2002. She joined the Elks Hearing & Balance Center in October 2006. Dayna completed the Vestibular Certification Course sponsored by the APTA and Emory University in March 2007, and became an APTA Certified Clinical Instructor in April 2008. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and Vestibular Disorders Association (VEDA) and leads the Vestibular support group.


Gayle A. Hynes

Gayle received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington in Speech and Hearing Sciences. She graduated with her degree in Physical Therapy in 1993. She has been a physical therapist with the Elks Rehab System for 15 years with an emphasis in balance and vestibular rehabilitation. Gayle has achieved competency degrees in Vestibular Rehabilitation and Cervicogenic Dizziness.


Tyler Jepson, DPT, GCS

Tyler graduated from the University Of North Dakota with a doctoral degree in physical therapy. Prior to graduate school he volunteered as an aide to children with cerebral palsy by assisting with homework and recreation. After graduating Tyler began working for the Elks Rehab System practicing orthopedics in Eagle. After practicing with a primarily geriatric population he was able to become a Board Certified Geriatric Specialist. This certification sets Tyler apart from others as one of the few certified specialists in the area that focuses on geriatrics.
Dr. Jepson has also been teaching for the past 3 years at Boise State University. Many patients have complimented Tyler on the extra time he spends educating them on their diagnosis and the rehab process.
Tyler works in the Ontario location as the clinic manager and as one of the treating physical therapists. The close knit team of audiologists and physical therapists strive to create an environment where our patients can live life to the fullest.


Heather Kurth

Heather Kurth, DPT

Heather graduated from Idaho State University with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2009 and the College of Idaho with her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 2005. She earned her vestibular certification in 2010. Heather participates in community balance screens at local health fairs and physician offices.


Linda Owen

Linda Owen PT, COMT, FCAMT

Linda graduated from the University of Alberta, Canada, in Physical Therapy, and worked for many years in outpatient orthopedics, specializing in manual therapy. She obtained advanced certification in orthopedic manipulative therapy (COMT) in 2004, and is currently a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy (FCAMT). She became certified as a vestibular therapist in 2008.


Stephen Price

Stephen Price, PT

Stephen is a physical therapist at our downtown Boise clinic, and has been with the Elks Hearing and Balance Center since 2006. Stephen received his training at Missouri State University and, upon graduating, moved to Idaho to join the Hearing and Balance team. Stephen is certified in vestibular rehabilitation and also provides care to patients in the outpatient brain injury program at Elks Rehabilitation Hospital. Stephen has a strong commitment to physical therapy research, and has been integrally involved with studies using the BrainPort balance device from Wicab, Inc. He is an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor and thoroughly enjoys working with students and providing community education on fall prevention.


Carmen Schmidt

Carmen Schmidt, MPT

Carmen graduated from Idaho State University in 1995 with a Master of Physical Therapy degree. She began working for the Elks in 2000, and Hearing and Balance specifically in 2004. In 2005, she earned her vestibular competency; then in 2006 her competency in vestibular function testing. Recently, in 2011, she received her advanced vestibular competency. She has been an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) member since 1995 and has been involved in the state chapter. Problem solving and helping patients overcome balance and dizziness concerns are some of the most rewarding parts of her job.
